This chicken and dumplings recipe is amazing. I love that it's thicker than most, the condensed cream of chicken soup makes a big difference!
Ingredients:
2 boneless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons of butter
1 can condensed cram of chicken soup
1/2 onion, finely diced
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 bag of frozen mixed vegetables
water
make dumplings: I use ingredients on side of Bisquick mix.
Directions:
put the chicken breasts inside the slow cooker and top each breast with butter, then sprinkle salt and pepper. In a separate bowl mix together the cream of chicken soup with diced onions and mixed vegetables. Then pour cream of chicken soup mixture over chicken, then add just enough water to cover the chicken, add less water for thicker soup. Cover and cook on high 4-5 hours.
You can also use refrigerated biscuits: just cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and place on top of food, for the last hour of cooking.
